Well the second hand 360 I was using as a Media Extender is dead and I need to set up another extender so a couple of questions.
Can an arcade be used as an extender without a HD attached to use my last one I had to transfer my HD from main "gaming Xbox" to the other one will it work with just a memory card to hold the codecs etc.
Are there any options cheaper than an arcade to that will work as a Media extender? needs to play Divxs MP3s all the usualy stuff.
I breifly considered gettign a PS3 for the living room and transfering my main 360 to the bedroom but as that would reduce the quality of my 360 gaming (smaller screen and less comfort) I had discounted that now, that and £300 is more than I really want to spend.
So what are my options? the 360 isnt going to be repairable under warranty before anyone suggests it the 3 year extension dosnt cover impact damage, and not the original ower anyway.
