360 arcade

Hi Guys,

I've just bought a Elite which I'm yet to unbox

That aside I've got a friend who's after an arcade and my question is how many games can you store on the arcade as it comes?

It comes with a 256MB card, so hardly any apart from the smallest Live Arcade games.

It's not really aimed at being able to download a lot of stuff, just the basics to play retail games.

You can get a 20GB Hd off Microsoft for around 20 quid if you have an Arcade due to the new dash/features coming out of the 18th.

Yes you could save those to the memory card no problem.

You can play any game on it np at all & it will keep your saves etc but if you download any content a 256 will soon fill up. I bought my Arcade & run it just with the 256 & then bought a 2nd hand HD from M&M.

Saves are tiny, so the memory card is fine. I thought you meant full games.

Out of interest as I never downloaded this way, what fills up 360 hard drives?

Demos, Arcade games, DLC and as from next week full-game installs.

Demos more than owt else but obviously once you've test drove them you bin them off, A casual gamer could make do with just the 256 card but if I was you/them I'd definitely take advantage of the 20 quid HD.

Yeah heard about the full game installs, anything that makes the beast quieter.

Switching it off

My Arcades noise comes from the disc drive so i am looking forward to loading games onto the HD & running them off that, Whilst at dash it's really quiet.
