360 Audio Question

Hi all,

i'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a core system with an extra VGA cable and a memory card. I've checked the FAQ and there's something I'm not too sure about:

1) I was planning on using either my 17" 1280x1024 or 21" widescreen TFT (1680 x 1050) monitors - does the VGA cable have an audio output so I plug my headphones into it or not?

If so - how will I be able to control the volume in my headphones? Would you guys reckon this setup will be any good whilst I wait the long months until I can afford a massive HD telly?

mmm. Thanks for your post DaveyD. My widescreen monitor does scale okay, but it's not as pin sharp as I'd like. So if I don't want to scale, I'm back on the 17" monitor.

I'm just reconsidering this now as I'd be stuck at 1280x1024 on the 17 incher - and I've read a few more reviews that say the 360 on 4:3 is pants.

I've got a reasonable widescreen CRT telly, but the missus is usually watching rubbish on that and will no doubt complain if I take it over with Lara Croft's cleavage.
