360 batteries life span

I used to charge my PS3 and 360 controller from my lappy as it's left on overnight quite regular.

I guess thenoise generated whilst 360 is left on is different from console to console. It's the same with the PS3 too I think as my UK one is a lot louder than my JAP import one was. Maybe all electrical goods which use fans differ???

Wow, I didn't know that! Thanks :)

:edit: Just edited your signature by the way as only standard sized font (size 2) or smaller is allowed :)
You'd be absolutely gobsmacked to find out you can charge it from PC USB sockets too then...

For me the Play and charge kit is the way to go, I just play until the controller dies, slap in the P&Ck, hit the guide button (to turn my now dead controller back on) and bash out a few more hours on the game. Turn the console off and when I come back the next day. I'm wireless again.

I just wish you could charge the wireless headset via the controller, rather than having to attach it to the mains and use a wired one in the interim. :(

Read my post above :p
The thread wasn't worth the effort to read in its entirety :p

For reference I also have a play and charge kit but never use it as my rechargeable batteries last more than 3 times as long.

Hi Slogan.

Thank you, I do agree with your point, and it never really occured to me :) It does sound like a cheaper and more sensible option. Does the Play and Charge kit weigh much, and is it big?

Regards :D

It doesn't weigh much at all and the way it clicks into the controller is nice - it's obviously been thought about in design.

However, I think I'll be going down the rechargeable battery route. If you don't want the hassle of switching batteries (as painfully easy as it is in the controllers) then the charge and play kit may be for you.

Chris1712, I don't see how you gather that I was using three charge and play kits. There was one charge and play kit which goes in at the USB port at the back. That was the lead that knocked the console over.

I think he was asking what you were using in the front two USB ports.

Sorry i just assumed you'd use the usb ports on the front first! Lot easier!

And this is where I go. There's USB ports on the front!? :o

Edit - Excellent. So there is.

I've borked one of the slots for the memory units in the process. But ah well. :D

I don't use them as the front faceplate hinges are crap and break fat too easily. Also I leave my play and charge kit plugged in the back as it's much neater and easily than taking it out after each use.
