Next to the ketchup...
Well I thought it might last longer than a month at least but obviously not. Got it laid down on its side under the telly on a shelf all well ventilated and that.

Right was playing Oblivion this morning, for bout half hour, fine not a problem. Got an invite to play COD3 online. So I go back to the dashboard, open the cd drive take oblivion out and pop COD3 disc in, close the tray and sit back down.

The drive starts making some bloody horrible noises, sounds like the dics is being ripped to bits.... Jump up press the button to open the cd drive, and it does nothing, wouldnt even turn off, had to pull the lead out the back in the end.

I turn it all back on and it loads to the dashboard fine, pop a different disc in and it make a couple of weird noises then makes a sort of beeping sound and says "Unreadable Disc". Wont read anything CD's DVD's nothing works...]

Still in warranty so might as well jsut take it back tomorrow but has anyone else had a problem like this?

I know i was very dubiuos about even getting one to start with, what with all the tales of "The Red Ring Of Doom" and various other problems. I was just wondering if anyone else had, had the exact problem.

Yeah Ive read the same problem as yours from various people on here. Its common. Normally wrecks the disc too.

Yeah its looks like someone has been Ice Skating on COD3. lol

Not a very happy person lol, mobile broke the other day aswell lol

I'm just going to go abck the shop and hopefulyl they will just swap it for another one. Got the receipt and everything so dont see why it should be a problem.

See if they will give you another copy of the game too, Its only fair, The console scratched it

Took mine back too within a month, but mine was freezing every now and again, but it started doing it on the live dashboard when in games, so took it back.

on the plus side, the new 360 I got (my forth now) is exceptionaly quiet, especially the DVD tray, I can barely tell it's on.

The online retailer refused to refund me for my scratched game. Is there anyway I can get a replacement disc?

Can you not go through the developer i think there was something here a while ago but cant remember if MS or Developers people went through.

It was kameo, made by rareware (a sub division of MS Game studios?) if that helps.

I have the box at home for my xbox, but have the 360 and all its bits in my rucksack at the moment, (had at my GF's over the weekend)got all the receipt and everything.

Do you think if i went in the shop they would just swap the console round without the box, they could take a new console out of one box and put the broke one in the box and just give me the new console? sounds a bit of a long shot I know but its just hassle having to lump it around for two days solid :(
