360 connected to monitor through hdmi?

if it's the headset you attach to a controller, just do it normally?
if not, does the monitor have speakers? you could use the optical sound option

The monitor needs firsty to support audio through the HDMI port. If it does, it will likely have a "line out" that you can probably just plug your headphones into.
If the monitor does not support audio throughput, you will need to either buy the breakout box to give you composite audio out or optical out, or hack an existing component cable apart to give you the composite audio cables.
