Ever since I got a 360 i've used the MS battery pack and a quick charger.Got kinda sick of recharging every couple of days.So I bought some high powered batteries and a quick charger for them.
Christ! They're so much better than the battery pack!MY batteries have been on 3 bars for nearly 2 weeks now:eek: They just seem to be lasting forever:D

I used the play&charge kit and it was awful. Broke after about 6 months of use.

Using rechargable batteries now and the last a lot longer and work :p

I've said it many times and it's good to see i'm not alone. A quick charger and a set of 8 decent batteries will set you back about as much as two play n charge kits but last so much longer. You can then use spares in your TV remotes etc, which is nice.

I bought one of the charger unit thingers with the battery, and I've got a play and charge as well, the play and charge only comes out if I've been a doughnut and forgot to to charge the second battery.

I find it lasts more than a week when I'm playing a lot, and when it goes I just swap the battery with the one that sits in the charger. Maybe I've gone mental and it doesn't last that long but it's never occurred to me that they don't last long so they can't be that awful!

I use Uniross Hybrios in mine and they're brilliant. Same goes for the Wii remotes, TV zappers and an increasing number of other things.

I wouldn't say the quick charge/play and charge kit are awful but for the price of some decent rechargeable batteries(i got some duracell 2450ma) ones and a charger for them, the MS stuff is not worth it.

Are there any rechargables that hold their charge? I tend to charge up 4 at a time and only use 2 until they're empty, by the time that happens, the other 2 are usually well down.

Another of these threads? :p

I've been using my play and charge kit since release, it's never skipped a beat. I could not be bothered having to charge/swap batteries.

Uniross Hybrio should last for months before they begin to lose their charge. Just bought 4 myself with a charger for £10 :)

Just bought some GP ReCyko+ for £8, 4+2free 2100mah :D

Regular NiHM chargers work fine I presume.

dose the Uniross Hybrios chargers turn off when they are fully charged

I got a set of 4 with a charger and yes - it does switch off when they're fully charged. So much so that you have to unplug the whole thing before you put the next set in to get it to start up again!

The one I got is just a big plug thing with a round bit at the top and an elongated bit below with the slots for the batteries. Does that sound about right?
