360 controller - cant get all the buttons to work

Basically got this to play san andreas, but i cant get the trigger buttons to work.

In the menu where you choose which buttons do what they dont register, so at the minute i have start as the handbrake, which is awful!

am i doing something wrong? ive used both ms drivers and the xbcd or whatever it is drivers. to no avail, the buttons do work, as i can use then in the driver config

I haven't got it installed, but the triggers count as axes (or whatever the plural of axis is), so maybe you can't assign them. My guess is that XBCD will let you assign them as buttons, but I wouldn't know as I haven't tried xbcd...

ok now when i go into the xbcd setup i cant do anything. everything is on zero and the device box is blank
