I know a lot of people (myself included) want a 360 clone controller for the PS3 as a nice alternative...

Well, behold;

Yes! you can swap the d-pad and the analogue around...

Only problem is, it is wired :(

Does anyone have one of these?

Whats the quality of the controller like?

It's a PC controller, but it works on the PS3 as it's plug and play (apparently).

Don't think it has any sixaxis support though.

Does it have vibration capability with PS3 games that support it?

In fact, why don't the OP tell us what the damn thing's name is? :p

That's not a bad thing

Many games have minigames/components that rely on sixaxis, throwing grenades in Uncharted, beating off enemies in resistance, sky diving in ratchet and clank, moving the head in LBP (useless but cute!) and many others would be impossible with that controller. Many of those i've listed would be game breaking.

Although I can't stand SIXAXIS implementation, it was more of a joke than anything.

Obviously this pad is far from an ideal solution if a number of games can't be played with it.

1 - Why clone the worst thing about the 360 pad? The bloody awful D-Pad
2 - Why have the buttons as A,B, X & Y. Yes I know it is a 360 pad clone, but as it is for the PS3 would it not make more sense to be X, O, Triangle and Square?

It's not for the PS3 it's for the PC.

Oh i knew you were joking, i just felt it was a good moment to point out to everyone that a number of games wouldn't be playable with that pad :)

For those that are interested, saitek are making one specifically for the PS3 which can be found here:

It still lacks sixaxis however which in my eyes makes it near enough useless as many games won't be playable.

Yes but if you think they're going to put the PS3 buttons on a PC pad just because there's a chance some dude might plug it in his console and try it, you're nuts. It's a PC pad first and foremost.

Any PC gamer worth their salt would be using a keyboard & mouse anyway - not this pants effort for a controller.

Emulators and racing games are both good reasons to use a control pad. However i do agree the controller looks a little pants and i would rather use a USB 360 pad which can be had cheaper.
