360 controller not functioning correctly

I have hookd up the 360pad so my son can play TF2 with it but only 1 analoge stick works any ideas.

by the way he is only 4 so Kb+M is a no no at the moment

Not sure, but if it helps here's what it says in the console when I enable my xbox 360 controller in options and start a game (didn't check which one of these caused it to print that, I'm guessing checking the box)

i got the latest Microsoft drivers and it now works, was using xbcm drivers

Both sticks work with XBCD for me, had to enable them in the config program.
