360 controller?

Since when was Deus Ex:HR a 3PS? If anything it's an FPS with some elements of a 3PS.

Personally I only use my xbox pad with my PC for Racing (DIRT3), Fighting (SF4) and Sports (FIFA) games, everything else I use KB+M.

There are a few exceptions to this rule though as I use the pad to drive the vehicles when playing GTA4 but I use KB+M when on foot and also in Dead Island I found myself using the pad because it allowed you to select the analog form of fighting which you couldn't do with KB+M.

But at t'end of t'day, it's whatever you want to use it with, if you feel comfortable playing an FPS with a controller then that's your choice.

Did not think about that part.

He plays Trackmania 2 any good with a 360 controller?
I found it absolutely horrendous with a keyboard, so a pad will be great!

Don't they come bundled anymore? I prefer the wired anyway - it's lighter and no faffing around charging it.

Deus Ex is better on the pad btw, pads suit Third Person shooters usually.

They do but they're about £30. I had a wireless controller already so just had to source the receiver and got one cheap from eBay
DeusEx with a pad? What? There's absolutelynothing wrong with it on keyboard/mouse!

Games I've played this year on my 360 controller:

Assassin's Creed
Batman Arkham Asylum
Dead Space
NBA 2k12
PES 2012
Dirt 2
F1 2010
Splinter Cell Conviction
R6: Vegas 2
Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands
Fallout New Vegas (50/50 with K+M)

So I've gotten pretty good usage out of it. Generally best for 3rd person RPGs when reaction times and good accuracy aren't essential because you can sit back and relax.

It's FPS until you get to the shooting part and then turns into a cover shooter. The RPG stuff is streamlined enough that it works on the pad. It plays fine either way.

I'm getting on, and sit in front of a computer all day at work so prefer laying on the sofa with a pad for my gaming these days. There's not much lead PC stuff these days anyway, so unless it's a competitive FPS, MMORPG or RTS the pad is usally a fine option.

If you're planning on getting the new Batman I'd highly recommend the pad over M+KB as the combat I feel flows better. In general Lima has it right to me. Racing games with digital steering/acceleration feel like they put me at an instant dis-advantage.

I got one for games like Assassin's Creed, the driving bits in Mafia II, and racing games that are absolutely horrid with a wheel, such as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.

Everything else but racing games, I use a mouse and keyboard.

Been using a wired 360 pad for years on my PC, works with every game I've tried it with, seeing as it is a Microsoft product I don't expect any less.

I use it with the majority of games apart from FPShooters.
