I would imagine they would. They won't announce it now as people would hold off buying XBOX 360s till the price drop but I would expect some sort of drop or at least an extra a game thrown into the package.

Microsoft have stated that they want make a RRP drop on the Premium price at the moment (and I don't think they will this year). This doesn't mean that there won't be price drops though (some retailers are already selling the Premium at less than RRP).
I think that the Premium RRP is still ok and the best thing to look out for are what bundles retailers will be making ready for the holiday period.
The RRP drop for the CORE pack is a better move by Microsoft to 1) lure parents towards by a 360 over a PS3 and 2) adjust the price difference + extras between the CORE and Premium packs.
I wonder if these price drops will effect the launch price of the Wii. Nintendo's aim is to lauch a cheap, low powered consoled but now the £170 to £200 launch price isn't looking that cheap.

It will not be that high. I would think it would be around £150, possibly a tad lower even. Nintendo said it would not be above $250. Which basically equates to Euro and £200! = €250. The exact price and release date will be announced in exactly 2 weeks from this post date. [1st of September]
