360 Crossfire wireless receiver

Does anyone have this? I bought one to use my spare wireless controller with my PC and can't get it to sync up. I have installed the latest software from the MS site, I'm using Vista.

I read all over the net and it says it could be down to USB power, but I removed all other USB things and only had that connected and it still wouldn't sync up.

I unplugged the 360 in case that was interfering and still no luck.

I turn on PC, press button on receiver till the light flashes, then press the sync button (one with 3 little waves) on the controller and it flashes for a bit then goes onto a constant flash every second or so.

Any ideas? I don't want to have to buy a wired controller but I can't get this thing to work!

Hmm, I couldn't get it to sync up on my old computer (Athlon XP 3000+, 2GB, X800XT, MSI K7N2, XP), to fix it I had to;

To off PC
Remove everything from USB ports, except the reciever
Turn PC back on
Sync the controller

That worked, but had to do it every time, yet to try it on my new PC (Vista 64)

Err no idea then. Using Vista 64 here with no problems.
