I've had this twice with Forza 2 now. It basically crashes the game with grey corruption on screen. It only happened on a menu and not in game. The 360 had been on for a while both times. The 2nd time I hadn't done any racing or really stressed the console for at least 30 mins. I just painting and tuning etc. It did it once on Saturday and once on Weds night. It had been used every day for 2-3 hours at once between without an issue.
I've had no 3 lights or anything like that. It was bought from Currys on the 27th of June last year so the warranty is nearly done with. Would it be wise to chop it in while I can?
I'm worried about bringing home another dud. I'd like to do the x-clamp replacement which obviously voids the warranty. I don't know if this problem is already terminal on this Xbox yet a new one may be as troublesome. I could get a new one and do the x-clamp mod and prey for the best, but then I think this would be silly.
I'm disappointed really, it's a difficult position to be in and I know a few of you have had much worse issues with multiple Xboxes. I enjoy my 360 and it was a special present from my girlfriend for my 21st. which cost her a lot of money. Is there any easy way out of this problem?
