Since I bought the wireless wheel I have started to really enjoy PGR3 a lot more. I even finished the championship on novice (ok scoff away but that is impressive considering I gave up on it a year ago about halfway through on bronze as I just don't like driving games on a pad).

I'm going to plug away at PGR3 and aim for the silver championship but it will be a little bit at a time when I am in the mood and not likely to become rapidly irritated.

So in the meantime I fancy some more driving action for the 360 wheel.

I have PGR3 and Full Auto (which is great fun).

Of the following games which would you get in preference to the others and why:

Burnout Revenge.
Test Drive Unlimited.
Import Tuner Challenge.
Need For Speed Carbon.

Any others I should be thinking about?

I have burnout, test drive and NFS.

From those I cant choose between NFS and burnout, theyre both really really fun! - Especially burnout on live :D.

I think Test Drive would be awesome with a wheel :) Extremely realistic game.

Forza will be out soon also, hopefulyl GTR2 isn't too far away neither

Test drive is one of the best driving games ever imo, thought NFS:C was pants slow frame rates (2 player is terrible, really bad and I aint one to complain about fps etc) its just shocking NFS:MW was better if your looking for more of an arcade game. Altough completed NFS:MW on ps2 only briefly played these on 360.

Remember sega rally is out soon :p

Test drive is apparently getting a patch for the force feedback.
If that appears it would probably be your best bet.

Personally I hate TDU.

Big spaces to drive, but rubbish-looking and I don't feel like the car is on the road.

Just didn't find it fun. I know I'm in a minority though.

I bought TDU about 10 days ago and I've been hugely impressed. A vast island to drive around and plenty of challenges to keep you busy. It can also be had for £25 new and I'd heartily recommend it. I'd also disagree with saintly as I think it looks pretty good in HD.

I'd also recommend Burnout: Revenge though this is an entirely different game. Whilst TDU is a driving simulation Burnout is pure adrenaline arcade fun. Jumps, crashes, boosts, shortcuts and all at very very fast speeds. I loved it and it looks great.

I'd buy both as they offer different things. Sometimes you'll want a semi-realistic drive round an island and other times you'll want to smash 30 cars into obstacles!

I haven't played the other two.

Id steer clear from Import Tuner VIRII, although it may be better with a wheel, i found it very slow, and not very exciting.

Burnout and Test Drive are both amazing, im not sure Burnout would benefit that much from the wheel, as its more an arcadey game, it is however terrific fun.

For a car nut Test Drive will keep you entertained for ages, i wouldnt say im the biggest car fan, but i played Test Drive for a good 30-40 hours when it came out.

Ridiculous, Test Drive is FAR from realistic, i think its a terrible game, dont see the point.

Ive got TDU and the wireless 360 racing wheel... its an insane combo! Try it with the TDU demo first, see how you like it... imo its really good.

Don't see the point in what? Being able to cruise around a huge and realistic environment, buy tons of cars and bikes, customise your character, join up with friends and tackle the tons of single player and multiplayer challenges

No in having a driving game where the cars handle like crap, they should've spent some more time on that instead of the rest of it

Fair enough, I know some people didn't like the handling, but the majority (including me) thought it was fine.

As much as I love TDU, it can never be called a simulator, or realistic. Great fun, massive and open yes, but a realistic simulator? Not a chance :)

I didnt like it either. Only tried the demo though but that was enough for me. It just felt sluggish.

Burnout, everytime! racing, insane speeds, mental crashing and the fact you get to introduce psymonkee, madFruit and roser to a wall on Live :).....to be fair, much more satisfying that just racing and winning like your generic racing game

Awesome concept, poorly executed. I didn't like the way the cars I drove (admitedly not THAT many extensively) handled. I didn't like the way you could get away with crashing into anything at any speed and come away no worse than a slight bump sensation and an irate policeman/passenger.

It would've been great if it had realistic physics, but it doesn't. Anything not on a bit of tarmac is exactly the same, slow down a bit and hard to turn, no matter what surface.

I sold it.

I'd rate Burnout Revenge the best for driving fun.

although burnout is a great game, i wouldnt even attempt to play it with the wheel  you would either wreck the wheel or you would be in traction inside a few hours lol

tdu is a brilliant game, it does take some getting used to in the handling department but i find it differs greatly from car to car.

i really hope it gets a patch for force feedback

as for those who said it looks pap.... what ?

it blows me away how much is going on in there with 8 players racing and AI cars with 400 buildings and blades of grass and leaves, birds, bits of newspaper blowing about in the wind and all moving a 180 mph. and georgeous gfx. shows of the raw power of the 360 in my opinion.

some people just can't be pleased

so TDU gets my vote :)
