MS have released a tool to let you migrate game licenses to your new 360 so that games can be played on or off line.

I've just done it and it's pretty painless.

How does it work? I thought everything you downloaded was linked to gamertag so you could re-download?

It's linked to your gamer tag and console ID.

So if you downloaded an XBLA game on console A then moved to console B it would only work if your gamer tag was connected to Live! If you're offline then you can't play

This utility attaches old licenses to your new console.

Other issues were if my wife/daughter wanted to play I'd have to log in with a 2nd controller.
