Hi Guys, was just playing on 360 then went to go back to the NXE but all the colours were weird so i restarted it now my TV shows unsupported signal and i get nothing on screen.

Any ideas why this has happened any possible fix or is it busted, it seems to be working fine just not displaying anything.

Thanks

Chris.

ok i unplugged everything and left it for a bit a tried it again, now it turns on fine and the screen with the xbox guide logo is fine then as soon as it gets into the NXE the colours are all green and purple coloured and all streaky etc.

So if the graphics card has bought it then i presume it is send back to microsoft or is this not covered?

Thanks again.

Yeah it's a GPU issue, likely the same issue that causes 3 red lights (broken solder joints) except a different set of solder points have broken away with yours - likely the ones linking the GPU to the scaler chip. It's a fairly common issue.

If it's within a year old, it's under warranty with MS. If it's over a year old then you should either try fixing it yourself or get someone else to.

same happened to mine, i took it back to the shop i purchased it from, just a few weeks before the Warranty ran out.

That happened to mine 2 weeks ago. Didn't give a red light at first but eventually gave a lower right single red. Its the same as the E74 error.

They serviced it and sent it back with replaced mobo and DVD drive

thanks guys,

i bought it from Currys about 14 months ago, you reckon they will replace it or shall i ring microsoft?

Ok have just rung microsoft and they said it would be £60 to repair it.

may aswell buy another console and use the hard drive from this one?

what you guys reckon.

Thanks.

You could do, or have a go at fixing it yourself. If you can't be bothered then sell it on - you'd probably still get £80 or so for the console with power supply. I know that's what I'd be willing to pay for one anyway :)
