Hey guys,
I recently had my Elite repaired by Microsoft as the drive was making an awful grinding noise constantly, and the video output went mostly pink and green when on for more than a few mins, followed by no video output after a reboot, until cool.
It come back, working fine, with a new optical drive...but upon looking through the vents on the bottom, following the various "which board do I have?" guides on the net, I have found that they have replaced my board with a Zephyr, same as I had originally. I've read all about people having launch day consoles replaced with the Opus board with a 65nm CPU...do they not also replace Elites with 65nm CPU boards also?
I wasn't sure the board had been replaced at all at first, until I'd noticed that its NIC mac address was different and wasn't getting the IP it was supposed to from DHCP. Not too bothered really, just wondered if it was standard practice with Elites atm..
Thanks
