Hi all,

Got my 360 premium this week, and read the leaflet about the extended warranty, another 2 years for £60.

Wondering if other people went for it, because im thinking of getting it.

cheers

Tbh it's just a way for them to make extra cash. Your consumer rights should really cover any problems should you have. You have a 3 year warranty on the overheating issue with Microsoft as well and that's the only fault they are really known of now.

that existed before the 3 years warranty on 3 rlod.

therefore your warranty will cover you for all other issues apart from the 3rlod's which i dont think is too many but you can never guarentee.

ive heard rumours people may intentionally cause the 3rlods's to get round the warranty issue.

If that's what it says, I would think it's right. It's to stop people waiting an extra 6 months before buying it, effectively trying to give themselves 3 1/2 years of warranty instead of 3 years.

well its just an extra 2 years cover ontop of standard 1 year. So no matter when you buy within 1st year, same cover applies? Is this right/allowed?

I went for it when I got my 360, back in March this year, the payment was taken in early April and to date I have never received any of the promised paper work with conformation and cover details.

The last contact I made to MS about this was via email, the guy simply wrote "I suggest you call our helpdesk", didn't fancy spending another 15 minutes on hold, so I haven't bothered.

Scort.
