Hi all,

I've always used a microsd + usb adapter to use media on the 360. I've also used a portable hdd and that works, however I've just tried using my external 1tb hdd and the 360 doesn't even see it as being attached.

Only thing I can think is that the 1tb hdd is not formatted as FAT32 like the others are, anyone know if this is the case or could it be something else?

Thanks!

for some reason the 360 wont read NTFS despite running an NT similar OS.

From what i've read if you don't want to be limited to the 4gb limit of FAT32 you need to use a MAC formatting system.

Yes, to beat the 4gb+ limit, you need to format the drive to HFS+ mode. You can use a program called macdrive to do this. It needs to be installed so you can read the HFS file system within windows explorer. I have a 500Gb external formatted in this system for use on my pc / xbox 360.
