I've just had to send my 6 month old 360 pro back to Xbox for repair, it stopped diplaying a picture after afew hours of going wild diplaying strange patterns and flashing on screen.

Does anyone know if they will just replace the graphics card to fix the issue? they didn't let me know anything when I was speaking with them.

If it was 6 months old you should have gone back to the shop where you purchased it from. They would have straight swapped it for you.

T.

I bought it online so it was just as much hassle although would have been quicker than MS 3-4 week turn around.

I've got a PS3 & Wii so wasn't too fussed waiting alittle longer as long as it gets sorted out. Bit gutted chopped in my original 360 to get the apparently better Pro version and this one goes on me :(

that would be excellent I was just going on what the CS bloke stated, showing they've received the console so fingers crossed it will be as quick as yours.

Thanks

The GPU on consoles is intigrated into the motherboard so there isn't a graphics card. They would have to change the whole motherboard if it's faulty.

Mine came back in around 9 days but after a couple of weeks it's playing up again, seen the 3 reds lights once but then it seemed ok.now it justs keeps locking up for no reason.(mostly playing arcade games???)

Why does every thread on this forum get hijacked and then turned it a really boring thread?

EDIT - I didnt mean to post the above in this thread sorry.

I just got my 360 back today, states the mobo has been found to have been faulty.

Would they just have replaced that?

Only reason I asked is it looks like they sent me a new console is was all sealed and had a facia attached with all the seals still intact.

Yep, they'd replace the whole motherboard.

They might have given you a different console. The only way to be sure is to compare the serial numbers.
