360 Freezing while gaming

Have a slight problem with the kidz's XBOX 360. For some reason the games when playing keep on freezing and was wondering if this is a common problem with them. The games just freeze with the picture locked up on the screen and the system needs turned off and back on before it will operate.
Do you think I need to be sending this ssystem back on an RMA..and if so whats the best wasy to do it...the place you bought it...or can you go microsofrt direct?

cool...it came from a well known highstreet store...so hopefuly they will take it back and give another one. I thought that if it was an RMA then they would have to be sent back to Microsoft. It was bought early December.

Ventilation wise...its under the TV but its an op[en stand and prety well ventilated. Ill try moving the power supply see if that makes any difference.
