360 Friends List Notification App

Heard about this yesterday but forgot to post details.

It's a neat little notification app that runs on windows, and gives you details of all your friends who are online on XBL. Just installing the thing now. I should mention that it does require .NET Framework 2.0x

hmmmm, how am i to know its secure when entering my log in details?

It runs off your xbox.com details, so it is a bit risky. The app has done the rounds on a lot of 360 websites though, and gamers have had problems getting it to connect due to it not being well documented.

Does Fight Night round 3 always show as "Offline fight: Barrera vs Barrera"?
Everytime I see an Offline fight it's that one.

I use Konfabulator widgets. Or Yahoo widgets as they are now known. Spot on. like mac widgets!

Hi,

I'm glad someone else has noticed this. If you play FN3 online, your GamerTag shows the name of the actual fighters. But offline I always see Barrera vs Barrera.

suppose would only take a quick test to clarify. May do it later on.

Apart from the fact that people have to enter their Live! details for it to work, it would be similar to BF2 stat sites which just take the info from the EA stat servers.

Won't use this myself though but would do if Microsoft brought out a tool themselves. MSN was intergrated with Live! but it seems to have stopped since the 360 came out. Perhaps the new MSN Live! will have that re-introduced into it.
