360 game advice

Hello!

I bought Chromehounds saturday and i'm not too impressed. Thought i'd get that off my chest first, although i think it's because i don't have Live....

Thinking i might trade chromehounds for PGR3, especially when nearly everyone rates it in their top 5 games!

as i've got a projector and xbox and silent scope, thinking of picking up a cheap PS2 and some gun games too, especially time crisis 3!!!

What do you guys think? Chromehounds for PGR3? new light gun? and should i get Live?

Live is awesome, and unfortunately for you, Chromehounds is basically an online game with single player tutorial missions. If you have broadband and can hook it up, at least give it a try. It is not too hard to get free trials, or just try a Silver membership and pay for 1 month if you want to test it out for yourself.
 
Chomehounds is currently my favourite game but as you say this only applies to multiplayer. The only reason to play through single player is to get parts you can use in mp.

I'd mark it:
Multiplayer 9 out of 10
Singleplayer 4 out of 10

An example...

I teamed up with a german clan mate. Just 2 of us as Sega are having a few server issues atm. We enter a Neromius War mission just outside the capital of Tarakian which our nation is desperately trying to hold against Morskoj and local insurgents.

We left our HQ and attempted to rush where we thought their HQ was taking a short cut just round some quite steep hills. I was handling a reverse biped chassis soldier mech I'd put together the day before and was armed with 2 sets of 3 machine guns and a heavy large cannon. My friend was more of a heavy gunner with tracks and lots of rockets.

As we came over the top and spotted the flag of their HQ we ran straight into them both (2 vs 2 battle). Chaos errupted, I was pointing in the right direct and managed to steady myself fast enough to fire a point blank salvo of my main cannon straight into his cockpit. I still laugh now at what his first words probably were. They soon steadied themselves and fought back and were obviously trying to coordinate their tactics to take my friend first while we were more random but more precise and most importantly were doing more damage.

Several more big hits from me, and a lot of machine gun straffing, and some bad misses from them we took them both down, winning the battle.

Lots of pats on the back and we were back in the lobby being congratulated by other clan members on our victory.

This was one small battle I've had so far. I could talk about how we won a 6 vs 6 city battle with a fierce firefight over a river which left the city in rubble. Or a nighttime game of cat and mouse I had 2 vs 2 (which we lost) or a 5 vs 5 desperate defence our HQ which we won but only 1 (not me) of us survived.

So, my advice would be get PG R3, it's great in both single and multi player. And while you're playing that get broadband and Live! sorted and come join us in Chromehounds.
 
I had the month trial with silver membership but didn't use it a hell of a lot, plus i couldn't find people to play with that weren't either a) **** b) really annoying american ****. Unfortunately most people fell into b :(

I am thinking it would be cool with a game like this, just wondering if anyone has played online and if its good.

btw i played GRAW and halo 2, personally Kai is much much better for halo 2!

Burnout Revenge is the game.
In my opinion it's the best Single Player and Multiplayer game on the console. Another shout is for Call of Duty 2 which at Veteran difficulty is just a pleasure to play.

Ahh, thats because you broke golden rule #2. Always Play Live with friends (like those on ocuk) or suffer the concequences.
 
smcshaw: As soon as I find a good deal on Chrome Hounds I think I shall get it. Your description made me really like the sound of it.
