anyone comment on the following games.

GRAW - as compard to Vegas which i now have

Perfect Dark Zero - as a game of it own

Dead Rising - as compared to a good resisent evil

Farcry Instinct - as compared to the original farcry

thanks!

Well i'd say don't touch Far Cry Instinct with a barge pole. It shares very little in common with the original, shallow arcade shooter with linear levels and basic A.I.

GRAW - Easier than Vegas, just as good (IMO).

Dead Rising - Nothing like resident evil, apart from the zombies and the death, its more like robotron or smash tv.

GRAW - Similar to Vegas only more open ended. Vegas has the slight edge for more but GRAW is still an excellent game, MP on GRAW is superb as well.

Perfect Dark Zero - Terrible as an entry to the prefect dark series, terrible as a game from Rare, terrible in it's own right. It was a bad game when there were no alternatives, now there is no reason at all to buy it.

Dead Rising - As has been said, completely different game to RE. To me it's nothing more than Dynasty Warriors done with zombies. Boring after 5 minutes but a lot of people love it so worth a try.

Farcry Instincts - In it's own right maybe it's an ok console FPS, but in comparison to the pc original it's awful, too many problems with it to go into in a small review.

Dead Rising is fun after the first 2 hours when you start levelling up properly and getting some decent weapons. It is a wicked game imo, although some aspects, like the aiming system with guns, can be VERY annoying.

Still a great game though.

I thought GRAW was better than Vegas. I thought the tactics were better and GRAW was far more atmospheric. Vegas was a bit of a let down for me. I can't wait for GRAW2.

PDZ was a fun game I thought, just one that got a little tiring quickly and highly forgettable.

Dead Rising was a game I never managed to get into.

GRAW is still one of my top 5 games for the 360, and can be had for under £20, not played enough Vegas to compare though. GRAW 2 is out soon, and should be really good.

Perfect Dark Zero was very average, came across as a poor version of Timesplitters.

Play the Demo of Dead Rising, I got fed up with it very quickly. I think there are demos of all these games on Xbox marketplace.

Id recommend both GRAW and Dead Rising, thinking about actually getting round to dedicating some time to Dead Rising as Ive hardly played it.

I have a question, Without taking over the thread :p

I have GRAW for the Xbox, Is it worth getting it for the 360? considering i have it already for the Xbox?

i have graw but not a massive fan of it, but i love dead rising, most people that dont like it havent invested the time in it, im playing the games through for the 3rd time now and will carry on playing for a long time to come

Wouldnt have thought so, probably worth waiting for GRAW 2 which isnt too far off I believe.

hmm.. theres not many 'great' 360 game then is there...

think ill give PDZ a miss then! any maybe rent dead rising to check it out, enjoying VEGAS but its a little bit repetative so might just wait for GRAW II and see if theres any improvement...

ive still yet to try the whole 'LIVE' experience and online gaming.. is it very much of a worthwhile experience given i have had the best of PC online gaming for the past 8-9 years? i like the idea of no hacks and having a platform whrere theres no expensive hardware advantages etc. but i like to complete games before playing online so as not to ruin the SP experience like new weapons etc. but honestly is there anything new to be experienced via LIVE?

cheers

Well, I haven't played the Xbox 1 version, but judging by GameRankings, the 360 version must be miles better. Average scores are 64% vs 90%. So, yes, maybe it is worth it.

There are soem great games for the 360, you asked for opinions on only a few? Some of which I would go out of my way to avoid in Farcry and Perfect Dark.

As for the whole Live thing, the best thing abou it is playing games online with people on here as everyone takes it serious enough not to muck about too much but without taking it too serious as to cause problems.

For example GRAW, I didnt really enjoy single player to begin with but after playing online for night after night I got right into it. Same with burnout and to a degree Gears of War. Great games when played online with people from here.

Currently its all abotu Gears of War on a night if you want online gaming, which I feel is a bit slow so dont join in too much anymore but get yourself on the friends list of Krono et al and Im sure the onlien side of things will take off for you :)

There isnt anythign radically different, apart form everyone is on a level playing field. At the end of the day its stil la game, with an optional headset (Although this is generally supported in all online games) so its not going to be anything extraordinary but the integration of the Live service on the 360 is incredible.

Dead Rising is great, but you have to invest a fair bit of time into it, otherwise it seems like a bit of a pointless zombie-smash up, the actual game (which IMO starts when you're about level 15) is a lot deeper and very, very good :)
