360 harddrive > memory unit

After being bitten by the DOA4 bug and losing all my saves, I thinking about buying a memory unit to back up all the saves from my hard drive on periodically.

Is it possible to copy saves accross from the hard drive to a memory unit?

Pretty sure it is yes, you can do it from within the memory management section (System blade) of the dash :)
 
Hmm, I'm sure I saw a copy function at the same time as deleting some bits and bobs. I assumed it meant copy between different storage devices.
 
Theres a Datel connector coming out soon to allow you to connect the memory card to your pc, so if your stuck you can get that.
 
Not related to this game but i copied my kameo/pgr3 saves from memory card over too harddrive also my profile from memory card.
 
Yes you can do it as I had to. With PDZ you have to do it within game, you load up the save with the hdd and then go to options and change storage device to mem card. All data is then saved to the memory card including all your previous progress.

If your profile corrupts - DO NOT RECOVER your GamerTag. If you do that, you lose your saves. Instead delete the profile (its in the Profiles section of the storage device), ensure you only delete the profile. Once the profile is deleted, recover your GamerTag from live, it'll say that you'll lose your saves - but you won't. Once the GamerTag has been recovered you can carry on as normal, your saves will all still be present & usable :)
 
Transfer of the DOA4 save game is not possible as its copy protected :(

If you want a DOA4 save on ** HDD/mem unit you have to start the game from scratch with either option, unless im proven wrong which i hope i am?

Thats what I done but still lost my saves.

So not only can you lose all your saves because of a bug, but you can't back them up either!?

Doh! Just seen this thread now! Got my HD arriving today and was gonna put everything onto it. Looks like I'll have to keep the MU in for DOA4 now. Bit pants all these bugs init? Thought my coding was like swiss cheese!!!!
