For some reason my 360 has decided not to show using a hdmi cable.

It was fine yesterday morning but when I plugged it in again last night it came up with "invalid format"

It's been tried on another tv and it has the same problem. ( this time it says "over range" ) I've tried another lead too. My sons 360 works fine so I know its not the tv's. With the component cables it work also. The Tv's are not 1080p but the xbox is set to 720 or even 480 and its the same thing.

Anyone had this ? The Xbox is only a couple of months old.

Tried that....quite a few times. It changes it to 480 when the component is in but the same problem persists with the HDMI.

Are you sure the console is set to pal 60 (not the default pal 50)

To check, flick the switch on the av lead to standard definition.

Turn console on and select pal 60 from within the console settings.

Turn console off and Unplug the av lead and connect the hdmi.

I'm not sure if this is the problem but it's worth a shot.

Just tried this, it made no difference I'm afraid.

I've now tried everything I can many times, surely I'm not the only person this has happened to ?
