Now im aware the 360 "Elite" has a HDMI output on the back..

But is there a way to connect a standard 360 to an HDMI port.. wether its via some sort of 3rd party lead or not..

Im sure i read on here a few months back somone saying that there is a HDMI lead now available.. but i wasnt sure..

(PS. dosnt need to carry audio as ill use the optical out)

Nope, can't use HDMI in a 360 as the current 360 doesn't have a digital scaling chip. Though you could plug current 360's into hdmi port by converting from VGA>DVI>HDMI (At least, I think that'd work..)

That wouldn't work, as HDMI is digital only, it's the same as DVI-D. When you convert VGA to DVI, you convert the VGA adapter to a DVI-I, which is analogue still, and will only work on DVI-I connectors on monitors/TVs etc.

You can probably convert component to DVI using a decent AV amplifier, however that's a very expensive option, and that Team Xtender doesn't look as though it'll make any sort of quality improvements, it'll probably be the other way around, and it can't even do 1080p anyway from the sounds of it.

Im not after quality improve ments.. im just trying to get all my devices connected at once...

PS3 (HDMI) PC (VGA) Wii (Component) .. which leaves Xbox on HDMI no.2 As long as it looks as good as component at 720p ill be happy.
