Can you configure it as a seperate audio device so you can have the game audio from the speakers and only the VOIP chat through the headset?

Or does it just function like a mono headset and MIC?

If its the standard wired headset then it sits as a seperate audio device, along with the mic.. I don't think the wireless one acts like that though.

Would be the wired one im thinking of getting so thats cool. Thanks.

EDIT:

No way im paying £10-£13 for that.

Looking for one of similiar design to the wireless one but wired.

I moved into my uni house and someone had left and xbox 360 headset. Claimed. Its a lovely mike, not too inconvenient that I have to plug it into my xbox360 controller on my pc either.
Spot on for just using on teamspeak while leaving music etc through my main speakers.

I use the wireless one and have ventrilo coming through it, but game sound still coming through my speakers. Really handy, means the family don't have to listen to all the idiots online :)

Wireless controller seems to as well - just dug out my 360 headset and connected it up and PC started installing stuff for new USB soundcard and it passes all the soundcard setup sets in control panel.

I use a Crossfire adapter and a wireless headset.
It is configured for TS2 or msm voice chat going through it and it works fine.
