360 keeps freezing today

Hi guys, im having a weird day of it, my 360 seems to be freezing every half hour or so of playing, and after its freezed once the next one comes quicker. No change in the lights on the front and the cd keeps spinning.

Happened with Call of Duty and Smackdown today, i was playing GOW for 3 or 4 hours the other night and it was fine for example. Hasnt crashed at all for about 8 months?

Is it the heat today or something?

Summer is the worst time as all the 360 problems are heat/airflow related. My original died on a hot day last summer. Stick a fan in your room short term or open a window.

Thats the weird thing, ive got the curtains shut and there is a nice breeze coming through, it doesnt seem any warmer than normal.....

Rang up the high street retailer i bought it from, they said they will swap it.

Problem is it was the Gears of War limited edition pack with the game inside. Would they want everything including that or just the console? (As they dont make the limited edition pack anymore). The guy wasnt sure on this.

when i swapped my 360 at a popular highstreet retailer the guy literally just swapped my core console and let me keep all the cables and controller etc

Just rang up and spoke to a Woman, said she would only take all of it back, including game, i would get a new premium console and no game, they cant do that can they???

No they cant, shes talking crap. All they need is the console to exchange as thats the bit thats giving you grief.

Take the console only and get them to exchange it, if they kick up a fuss then ask them to give you a proper answer as to why they need the whole kit back.
 
Hope you get one of the new models that are beginning to surface with an extra GPU heatpipe cooler on them.
Way to go MS. Considering they have been saying there's no overheating problems with the GPU, this is a strange way of addressing a non-existent issue.
 
When my last 1 died 3 weeks ago i took it back to the high street all they wanted was the console itself they didint want my HDD, wires, gamepad just the console
