So I've had my 360 for a few months and it's been working flawlessly, but the other day it just froze. No RLOD, the screen just froze and the only way to get out of it is to power it off.

I can turn it back on straight away and play for a while, but it'll freeze again.

I immediately though it was overheating, but the locking up isn't consistent. Sometimes it'll take 3 minutes, sometimes 30.

Any ideas?

Get rid.

EVERY one of my machines apart from one started doing that before it get me the 360-******.

(lol - OcUK blanks out the goat word :D)

I have had 2 360's since August last year. My first one, and now the one I currently have. They have both done that and my current one (which is even a HDMI one) still does this. I put it dowt to crap cooling/**** power supply, I found hovering the power supply made it crash less.
I am very well tempted in taking this one back too as this is a blooming joke.

Your signature image gives me a headache.

if it is only a few months old don't even think about it, return it to swap for a new replacement machine, no brainer tbh.

I'm going to take mine back soon when theres more of a chance to get me sen a falcon :D

'Kin great. :(

What about my hard drive with all my saves on? They're gonna want that back too. And I'll have to make a special journey to take it back.

Could I just call Microsoft, explain I want to keep the HDD, and get them to pick it up for a replacement?

some shops on the highstreet will let you keep your hard drive and just swap the console (my friend did this) Microsoft will let you keep your hard drive and just send the unit for definate though.

You will get to keep your HDD if you go through MS and the 2 biggest high street game stores let you swap for a brand new console, whilst keeping your HDD. All depends where you bought it and what returns/repair route you are going.

Your signature is still giving me a headache.

Yet another case of console abuse, eh Mr Men?

You should have read the manual dingleberry, it solves any manufacturing defects... :p
