360/Media Centre Problem

Ever since upgrading to Windows 7 I can't get my PC and 360 to communicate and I have no idea why. I've been through all the steps, run the test on my 360 which shows network connectivity from 360 to PC, but performing an actual connection always fails.

Been through all the troubleshooting steps I can find but to no avail - anybody got any inspiration?

Have you tried connecting them directly to each other? i.e. one cat5 cable?

are you connected through a router? is your pc wireless?

my 360 wouldnt connect but i changed to a wired connection to router for start trek online and next time i came to try to watch something it worked flawless. try wired!

Have you activated your Guest account on your Windows Media Centre, It has to be activated for XBOX360 to work as an extender. i think by default it is de-activated for security in win 7

Both wired connections, but will check the guest a/c a.s.a.p.
