Right, my xbox from this morning has decided to change its NAT setting and I can not get COD4 to work and I get an error message in PES8 telling me that my NAT is too strict.

Firstly, How do I check the NAT status on the new dashboard?
Secondly, why the heck has this happened?
Thirdly, I have opened up the ports on the router and its still having the same problem, its going through the window in a minute

I have also rebooted my router and xbox.

What router do you have for a start? BT Homehubs have a wierd setup configuration to do with NAT that the Xbox doesn't like.. might have been a software update on the homehub for example.

This may not actually be your xbox.

It could be totally unrelated but I cannot get rockband to connect to rock central, live keeps logging me out and xbox.com just will not load for me.

So it could very well be that the problem you are having like mine is at the other end

if you look at my sig image it says I was on xbox.com but I was not half the page loaded and then it just sat there. All other web locations work fine tho

netgear dg834

Its been fine for years, even since the new update. However, this morning brings up this stupid NAT issue. Upnp is on, as always.

Plusnet is our ISP

hmm perhaps its a problem their end then because this router/setup has been fine for crica 4 years now

majornelson.com reports:
Xbox LIVE scheduled maintenance
On Friday December 5th from 2:00 AM PST for up to 15–minutes, Xbox Live will be offline for scheduled maintenance. As a result, Xbox LIVE and the ‘My Xbox’ section of Xbox.com will be unavailable, and the Xbox forums will be in read only mode (you won’t be able to post.) The remainder of Xbox.com will be available with limited interruptions.

If your NAT is still strict after this maintenance, you need to forward the ports of your router.

its fixed :) some 15 minutes though :( always us british/europeans who get arsed when it comes to updates
