360 not playing networked music

I've got my 360 set up as a media player, video files are no problem, but it refuses to see any audio.

I've done the "add media" bit in wmp and the music is now in my library, but on the 360 it just shows as "no albums found, no artists found, no tracks found", etc.

Any ideas? or have i done it wrong (never!)

yeh i got a a Terabyte drive hooked up that i stream music and dvd's off
