Im sure this has been awnsered before, but I made a search and had no such luck with that.

What is the cable needed to connect my 360 system to my 19" widescreen gaming moniter. I know there are two types of cable, digital and analogue or something, I am using analogue like I did with my CRT, (I think, im a little lost here).

Anyway what is the cable called? Here is my moniter

(linking dosent work for me, for some reason)

I understand connecting my 360 to my PC moniter might give problems with sound, that you cant have both video and sound at the same time? So I have heard, how can I get around this problem?

Thanks!

unless your monitor has speakers you need to run the red and white sound out cables from the 360 (included witht he vga cable ) either into a hi fi / speakerkit / or pc soundcard

edit - ok your monitor does have some speakers, i think you get an adapter with the microsoft vga cable ( i did ) that will let you plug the sound cable into your monitor too :)

you will obviously get better sound plugging it into your speaker setup or hi fi or whatever though but it means you need them switched on too

Ok thanks for the fast replies, just what I wanted :)
Best of luck, it's a very straight forward process though and the resolutions open up in the display blade on the 360 menu once the cable is plugged in :)
