I have a little bit of a problem.. I do not have enough Component connectors on my LCD TV. At the moment i have my 360 on component, xbox via AV1, Wii via AV2. I stillhave the VGA and the HDMI connectors free. Now i have a VGA cable (Joytech) for my 360 so would i get the same results in plugging my 360 into the VGA connector (HD) on the TV then i could plug my Wii in via component?

The joytech cable is far inferior to the official cable and the quality will all depend on whether your TV can handle component colours over the VGA port or if it strictly uses the PC VGA standard.

I have the Joytech cable and it's woeful.

Why don't you have enough Component connectors on your TV? You've already said you have the 360 on Component?

Personally I find Component better than VGA and have done on 2 different models that I have had a lot of time with (32WLT66 + LE32R41BD).

You would get a similar picture with an Official cable, it's quite a noticable difference with a Joytech VGA connection. If you're unhappy with VGA you could get a component switcher box.

Ditto,

Certain tvs allow switching between video level and PC level vga, as i enlightened Kreee with :P

Check your manual and see if your TV allows this, if so, go VGA.

Cheers guys.. I will look into it... :) If all else fails i will have to get a component switcher box...
JSTech do a fantastic one, it's £55 quid but well worth the money IMO.

For my money, I would probably stick the Wii on RGB Scart and put the Xbox on another Scart (if you have two that is!) and then put the Xbox 360 on component.

Still waiting on mine to be delivered, apparently it's a cracker, it was £60 or £65, can't remember.

Odd though, because I'm sure our 5m QED Component Cable was ordered from the same company :/.

The one that i have seen is a JS Technology one that auto switches between the priority scource and secondary. Its £55 and has won a stack of awards.. Think it may be a bit overkill though.

You get what you pay for. Of course, you're then limited by the quality of component cables.

I heartedly recommend QED Component Cables, we use a 1m and 5m cable.
