Hey guys, just a small query for my gf's brother AGAIN!

After his console RROD'd the other day, he's now ordered a new core system, and ordered a few games to go with it, the only thing he doesn't have is a headset ro hard drive, the headset he'll get in town sometime next week, the only thing worrying him, is storage.

Right now, he only has a 64MB memory card, all he plans to do online is a few games (COD4, Fifa 08, PGR4, aybe Table Tennis if he can find it cheap somewhere) but he;s worrying that his card, with only 34mb space free, will not be enough to use online. I've said to him a few times as long as he's not after demos etc.. then it will be fine, but he'd like to hear it from a few more it seems, so any opinions would be greatly appreciated!

On the connection front, he's having to link in from a rrouter in my gf's room, so we're gonna go for 2 x 5m cat5 cables connected by one of the extender thingies midway that you can plug both cables into, will these need to be crossover, or straight cables?

Thanks again for any comformation/light that can be shed for him!

Thanks

yeah, he'll be fine with that.

my profile takes up 7mb so i'm sure he'll be fine. he doesn't need the HDD, just the memory card to store his profile.

as for the cables. they should be straight through patch/network cables. cat5 i believe.

Thanks a lot guys, if things get tight on spac ei'll sneak in and delete his saves on other games without telling him :D

After going through my xbox hdd, ffia 08 game data is still only 3mb-ish, even with the 5v5 etc.. updates.

Thanks for the advice the cables :)

He just decided he wanted to get a new one due to new cores being HMDI now, and he is worried it'll break again.

Not to mention his one that died was modified and he neevr dared take it on live. And i think he'll break out in a rash if MS have it a few weeks and he doesn't have it :D
