So is the 360 pad probably my best bet when it comes to wanting to get the best out of PC emulating?

Anyone out there use one for things such as N64 gaming? How well does it work with the likes of Mario 64, where the yellow buttons on the N64 pad come into play quite a bit.

Basically, I've set my old computer up as a bit of an emulation station(Thats an awesome name) For Dons peace of mind, I have a megadrive console, N64 console and Snes console, Its just having the ability to emulate them from 1 point cuts down on having 4 consoles setup in the living room :D

I also have an adapter that allows the Playstation pad to be used on the PC, But I'm guessing it won't be as good as the 360, as the 360 pad is a lot closer to the N64 design, Although I definately prefer it for the likes of Snes\Megadrive gaming. :)

The 360 pad can work quite well on N64 emulation but you will find you have to make special configs per game to suit the layout more. for an example i used to have a separate layout for Mario 64, goldeneye and the WCW/WWF THQ games.

If i was you i'd track down an N64 USB adapter so you can use a real N64 pad, i have one that also doubles up as a Playstation adapter and it works great :D

wow, that adapter sounds perfect! I will have a look into that

I always enjoyed using my Namco Arcade stick with emulators, NeoGeo stuff worked fantastically with it.

Wonder where that USB>PS2 adapter went lol

Pretty sure, from threads I've had and read before, you can talk about emulators as much as you like, just cant talk about anywhere to get roms, bios files etc...

I've got one called an 'Adaptoid'. Pretty sure they were discontinued a long time ago, but online auction sites are likely to turn some up.....
Works flawlessly :)

Has anyone managed to get Mario Tennis working propperly??
If so can you tell me what emulator and what plugins you are using please?
Please, please, please don't link to anything though as the thread will probably be closed.

Cheers :)
