Hi there, a friend of mine is having some issues with pal 60 atm. He has a 20 inch lcd tv and whenever he plays his 360 in pal 60 (yes hes set the console to pal 60 in the settings) in games like Ace Combat and Halo 3, the colours are apparently wrong and there are lines going across his tv. His cable is set to STV so hes not quite sure what to do, any ideas would be much appreciated.

Sounds like the TV doesn't support PAL60, and is thinking it's NTSC hence the wrong colours.

PAL60 is NTSC resolution (525 lines, 60Hz, interlaced), but uses the PAL colourburst frequency instead of the NTSC colourburst frequency.

I've seen the same problems with a projector - it 'claimed' to support PAL60, but always tried to lock on for a NTSC colourburst and messed the colours up.

Thing is he said he was playing halo 3 and eventually after 5-10 mins the colours started displaying properly. One other symptom is apparently the video seems to jerk quite a bit.
