Hi, I know these come with 1 battery cell that has build-in non-removeable nimh batteries, if I get one and use the cable to charge my second controller with normal rechargeable removeable batteries in it will it work?

Nope.

The Microsoft rechargeable battery packs connect by the 4 contacts on the base of the controller, and not by the two springy battery contacts where normal AA batteries press against.

Probably that way so there is no chance that ordinary alkalines etc get power applied to them to recharge etc.
