360 playing up...

Got home just now, after spendnig a snow day with some mates, to play some TDU, couldnt hear my friends in chat for a start. And my disc tray wont open properly. It ejected about an inch, so i gentley prised my disc out. Now it wont open at all :mad:

back to the retailer I think. Boots up fine, no problems with that, no 3 red lights...yet

If i press the ejct button on the drive, the power button flashes as if it was opening, but then just doesnt open. Opens fine if i open it throught the dashboard.

If your sick of them, dont read them, You knew what this thread was going to be about, so why bother posting your anger?!

Anyone else had any similar problems with their disc trays, it could be a loose face plate but i never move or touch my 360.

Ahh right, thanks for that. Its laying down at the moment. It can open fine, just only if i open it thru the dashboard. It opens up properly once(via button on console) after being turned on, then 1 inch and then not at all. mums on holiday atm, i can still play games, will just have to wait till next week to get it sorted.

ive paid £300 for a console and not even had it 2 months. I'd like it to stay in perfect working order. Ermm i brought it around the 15th of december. Manufacture date is the 24-9-2006.

If it is a problem with the magnets, I dont wana take my 360 apart and void the waranty. I'l take it back and let the retailer swap it over and they can sort it, lol

I'm sure i can keep my HDD though? as it has all my game saves on it etc etc

i-Bert- this is a forum so people ask for help, if you dont want to help or have nothing constructive to say, leave. Or start a thread on all the boring posts about dying 360's, dont hi-jack mine.

yeh I bet. Im going to take it back to the retailer and not send it back to MS, like they told me when i brought it. So, hopefully il get a new one, as thats what i expect, if i dont ill kick up one hell of a fuss!
