360 price website / good deals?

Looking to pick up a 360 in the near future and have been looking around at deals and saw an ad for a Premium Pack + PGR3 + Wireless controller for £297.97 (IIRC) @ Argos in a newspaper but have looked on the site and can't find anything like that. I didn't look to see if there was an offer code on the ad, but I guess it could be an in-store deal?

Alternatively, are there any good websites that show bundle deals similar to this? I remember there being one that showed you where they had one in stock, is there one that shows the best deals? Alternatively can anyone point me in the direction of any similar deals? :) I thought the above for <£300 was pretty good as I don't desperately want to go second hand unless I can guarantee the warranty will be fine.

Thanks! :D

That Argos deal sounds pretty good, although other highstreet chains have deals featuring a Premium 360 and a free game for about 280.

Have a look and see if you have a Gamestation in your area, i always found the had good offers and bundles on new/used consoles in the past albeit i havent been in for a few years. Much cheaper shop than Game.

HMV are doing the Premium alone for £275.
*Quidco do 6% bonus on software/dvds sales*

GAME always have several deals online.
*Quidco do 5% bonus on software and 3% on hardware sales*

If you shop via quidco.com (I'm sure you've heard of it before :)) then you can get a bonus depending on what each retailer gives (listed the quidco bonus for GAME and HMV above).

**Edit**
With GAME instore, you can always try to haggle with the store manager if you fancy different games to the fixed bundles (if you are after several titles and extras then they may swap out stuff if you appear to be spending enough).

Also if you go into hmv and sign up for their CC you get 10% off the price, which is worth it imo.

Its what I did, and as soon as the card came in the post I cut it up :)

They do a CC now?? Didn't spot that and I've just put in 3 more pre-orders a couple of hours ago.

The benifit of going with HMV is if you get their gamesreward card and buy a console with it, you get a good amount of money off your next purchase.

And no I don't work for HMV :D

GAME also give a small amount back with the GAME loyalty card.

Thanks for the replies, I'm going in to town Thursday so will have a look around there and hopefully come back with a 360! :D

another vote for HMV, I picked up a premium with pgr3, gr:aw and motogp for £350. That also included a free quick charge kit I got through the voucher :)

Well I'll be joining the 360 crew on Wednesday

Went for the Argos PGR3 + Extra controller deal for £298, will be downloading as many demos I can as well, can't wait :D

I've got plenty of high capacity AA batteries, am I right in thinking each controller takes 2?

Aye 2. Apart from the official MS battery charger packs don't forget you can just use rechargable. I use a Uniross Charger and 2300 Mha batteries and it works a treat.

I've got 8x 1300mAh and 4x 2100mAh AA batteries so that'll hopefully do me...can you charge the MS batteries without the play & charge kit? Just not while you're playing?

One thing I forgot about was an A/V lead..I know the console comes with the component/composite lead (?) but does this allow optical out?

I've not tried using a play and charge kit with standard mAh batteries tbh. Be interested in seeing if it works as the only downside to rechargable is there's no warning to when they're running out; as I found to my dismay in a 1 vs 1 chromehounds player fight (we'd just engaged).

The MS component/composite lead does come with optical out but there's no optical lead included afaik.
