360 + PS3 Best Offline Co-op

Anyone know any good offline co-op games 360 or PS3? (1 console 2 + controllers either split screen or same screen)

also do you need a gold xbox account to play offline co-op - im guessing not?

Also there wouldnt be controllers that work on both 360 and ps3 consoles would there? :D /me hopes. (would mean i wouldnt need to buy 2 controllers)

Gears of War i guess? Army of Two good enuff on ps3 co-op?
 
ohh yeah i forgot Resident evil :D Ive played through some of it in SP. I want smt that could be scary too and or showcase the PS3 a bit.
 
got a 2nd hand 360 wireless controller for 15 and gears1 and GRAW2 :D

I plan to trade in the wireless one for a wired controller (as apparently the xcm cross battle adapter only works with the wired controller)
 
shop accidentally gave me gears 2 instead of 1 which i wouldnt mind except the disc badly scratched sonly managed to play a litle bit of co op.

graw 2 didnt seem as god split screen (vertical) Prefer its SP
 
We were playing Gears1 but my m8 wasnt very good at it. e..g we got stuck on the first berserker 15 times we tried haha. Did it myself on SP 1 attempt so we could get by it.

Okay for me theres only 2 bits in this game that are a bit hard

1 bit you are escaping from Marcus mansion with the Brumark incoming and u have 30 seconds to make it to the vehicle (either running past or killing those in your way)

Still though i was enjoying the game easily 90% + game for me.

Then......... RAAM. ****** that he is :p

all kinds of crap now. Problem is this level for me really brings out the control issues with the game. You make *any* errors in moving and the Kryll tear you too pieces no matter where you are. Very frustrating. Even after watching some youtube vids of ppl killing raam seems to me Raam goes down way easy. He doesnt die on mine. I use bow to blow the kryll off him then headshot him with the sniper rifle. I do this until he is up close to me so i run over the barricade and find another spot and do the same. Every time either the reavers (coz the raven cant shoot for ****) or the kryll kill me EVEN though i am crouched behind cover.

Shame as i had a high opinion of the game till this bit. Did the devs realize ohh bugger we better make this guy uber hard because hes at the end even though it doesnt scale with the rest of the game difficulty? Also tried to shoot him with the mounted machine gun thing but yep kryll got me there too.

Not sure if i like this more than gears 2. In gears1 the levels are a bit samey and the storyline seems to be MIA.
