360 PS3 Launch Amounts

How many 360s did we have on launch and how many PS3 is the UK getting on launch

A close friend of my family has asked for advice on if she needs to preorder a PS3 for her son

I was lucky to get a 360 on launch day but unless you preorderd you had no chance

We have all of our release day stock on preorder now, none left, so id imagien youll still need to preorder, infact you might be too late.

There are still plenty of places where you can pre-order a PS3 but the place I pre-ordered mine is sold out.

They said that people are buying two or three at a time, I can only assume to resell on ebay and whatnot. Personlly I think this is a big gamble, especially with a first quarter launch date.

Blockbusters. We were allocated 2000 units IIRC around the UKs shops and they were all gone within 3 days of taking preorders.

i dont think ps3 will sellout on launch,thats my gut feeling
the pre-orders at the store where i work at,are going slowly

I believe it was something like 50,000 Xbox 360s and there will be 220,000 PS3s.
