Hiya, Language wont be much of an issue for me since i am Japanese, I just got 200 quid scammed off me and I'm not in a overly great mood, i don't feel like UK ratail at some high street shop either.. so i thought i will get my dad to buy me a 360 from Japan (im paying of course), its 200 quid retail there(premium), and with a bit of haggling im sure my dad can bring it down a little more..
So, If i get a Japanese 360 with Japanese Forza, will i be able to play them with UK users here in the UK??? Also are Japanese 360s limited to 100v power supply???

last of all, will a English wheel or other peripherals work with the japanese system?

Thank you,
Ray

My dads bought LOADS of electronics items over including PCs (desk top) to many printers, now theyre put though the x ray but they dont do anything..

Maybe its because we all have japanese passports?

EDIT: asked mum, ye we should be declaring it. But apparently as long as its in the suitcase its fine.

tbh you can buy a premium for £230 easy so for an extra £30 you'd get a warranty and if half the failure stories are true then well....

You will be fine on all accounts unless it goes *pop*. But you could always pay £55 and get a UK company to fix it.

Been using a Japanese Xbox 360 for over a year here. You'll need a hefty 300+ watt stepdown transformer or you can just grab a spare UK 360 power supply from ebay. UK accessories/cables will work just fine but games are different. Depending on the publisher they can be region free so you can buy a few PAL games too. There are lists out there that show the specific region flags of titles. As a rule, games from Ubisoft and 2K are always region free whereas EA are always region locked.

The warranty is a big issue of course. Might be a bit inconvenient even if you can have it taken all the way back to Japan for an official repair. Mine's finally packed in for good recently. Not sure whether to get another import one to play all my foreign games or sell up and go all safe with a PAL unit. I might even jump the fence for a PS3 depending on if this post E3 price drop affects Europe :)

I'd have thought you'd have replaced your Japanese one by now jklc, especially with the number of games you had!

It's a shame you can't afford both, but you might make a bit of money back on your import games via eBay. We are getting more and more Japanese games over here now, so hopefully that is a sign of things to come.
