My wife is almost to the point of conceding on an XBox 360. What would really win her over is a game she likes.

She's into the 'platform fighting' style games. Like the old Street Fighter series etc.

Is there anything like this on the 360? Basically a two player 1v1 fighter game that she might enjoy.

Also quick question on CoD2. Is this multiplayer without going online? Is it 2 or 4 player limited if so? And can it connect to PC CoD 2 servers? (Got CoD2 on the PC, want to know if I can play against Xbox players on it)...

Excuse the n00b question, but what is Xbox Arcade?

It's a subservice of Xbox Live whereby you can download arcade-style games for a lower price. Games include Frogger, Uno (a card game), Geometry Wars (space blaster), Backgammon, etc. etc.

Consider getting a Japanese or Chinese (NTSC-J) machine...the Chinese games are full English and cost ~£22-25each, and the Chinese 360 runs on 220V so no stepdown required. My Jap machine (with UK PSU nicked from a core) is on its way, so as long as it doesn't die then all will be good...

Play-asia

Many of the Chinese (Asian) games are region free anyway and can be played on a PAL machine.

I've been stung for customs on one cheap game, plus games aren't exactly expensive anyway. Also, getting a foreign machine stops you from renting etc...

Don't get Geometry Wars.

Me and all my friends that have Xbox 360s have been addicted to it at some point. I'm only on the trial as well...
