Hey guys, I'm just about to "jump in", have a few questions.

Firstly is there a newer revision 360 i.e the latest more reliable tech if I get a certain model?

If i get an lcd monitor for the 360 what's the max res it will support? I dont want to run the monitor on anything less then native. Or do I? :)

Best FPS to get at the mo IYHO?

What's the cheapest way to hook up some nice headphones? small amp?

I take it there's no web browser still for the 360? not a major problem but just want to know.

Thanks guys

if you buy the new premium (60gb) or a brand new arcade/elite then you'll (99%) have the newest revision (which is falcon afaik, another way to check is the wattage on the PSU (which, if im correct, should be 210 for the latest models)

1900x1080 (i believe), although i've been running a 22" (1650x1080) as well as many others who've had to run the 360 at a non-native res for 3 years, and we got on fine :D

Best FPS to get at the mo IYHO?

CoD4/WAW, BF:bad company (subjective, some love it, but others don't) and of course, halo 3, which still has a massive player base.

then of course there are ones i haven't played, Left4Dead among those

can't answer that one, i'm sure someone can though

no, no web browser, but the PC you're using to access the web right now will do fine :p

^^PSU Brick should be 175w to get the Falcon chipset ;)

I don't do FPS on 360 but if you only get one game get Forza2

My 2006 console is 200W brick and my August 2008 is 175W. ;)

vincent1989 has answered all of the questions well really. Although for resolution you can do 1920x1080 rather than 1900x1080 (I just fired up my 360 :p).

As for sound, I run mine via my PC, in the Aux on my Audigy and then out via my speakers, this means I can plug headphones into the PC's headphone socket and just use them instead of the speakers. If you have onboard sound that is rubbish then you may want to invest in some form of amp I suppose.
