360 regions?

Hi, are there any complications with using a UK xbox360 in the USA (aside from the power supply)?

Most xbox 360 games are region coded, so most games you buy in the USA would not work on it.

You can find lists online saying exactly which games.

Also you can't watch region 1 dvds on a european 360... unless there's a hack?

it will work as normal with your uk games as long as you have the right wattage of step down transformer too work with the american power source

I thought the DVD player was region free. I can't remember having any region problems with DVD's when I had my 360.

Wasn't region free on my last xbox.

Will have to try the (only) USA dvd I have in the new one.

Neither of mine are.

You'll have to use EU PAL copies of games still which means for some games you'll end up playing people in Europe, most likely resulting in a bad connection for you.

I thought they were region free too, but I tried a r1 disc last night and it said it wasn't the right region.
