360 resets when I change channel

I'm using the cable trick with HDMI and also my 360 reboots when i change channel.

Get an Amp that takes HDMI sound is the best way, you get awesome sound too.

My Xbox can be on and I hear it boot up (microsoft jingle), when I change the amp to the Xbox preset it then the Xbox resets. I can only guess it is to do with the HDMI handshake

Not a problem now with the logitech harmony though, one press of a button and the TV, amp and Xbox all turn on.

I have my 360 connected via a cheapo HDMI cable at the moment, need to get all the cables properly sorted when I get my new stereo, but my 360 also resets when I switch between any of the inputs on my TV, pretty annoying if I have set something to autoview on sky!

Found that there is a fix to the auto reset problem but it involves partially dismantling the component case to snip a wire and means it won't work for component anymore. Also best to have some electrical tape handy to secure the component case when putting it back together, just done this myself and my 360 does not reset when switching channels. Also remember to set the cable switch to tv and not hdtv.
