I am about to send my Xbox 360 back to Microsoft for an RMA. I understand that I just put the console in a box and thats it.

Do I need to put anything else in the box with it? Any documentation?

I have a UPS Electronic Return Label - I stick this on the box. I also have an Electronic Return Label - do I keep this?

Thank you :)

you can't use the original xbox box. that's one thing customer support did say to me when i phoned through for my second repair.

i'm presuming this is because it doesn't come back in the same box.

Its also so that they aren't easily identifiable from the outside. Id presume you shouldn't put them in a box saying 'diamonds and unmarked notes' either.

i suspect it's because the original box lacks protection and they don't want extra repairs. on return they want the user to get the thing back working and it's in the intrest of both partys that the unit lives through the mail.
